Hello bloggers~ It has been far too long since I last blogged here. I did contemplate making a post about the new SPICA album I had gotten in the post but then was completely swamped with schoolwork. Another thing I hate about being so swamped with schoolwork is a lack of desire to be online and thus a lack of time to talk to the people online. However, my sleep schedule is better! I now sleep from about 10:30pm to 7am every night - which is a lot better than not sleeping at all! Due to this I am reluctant to spend long nights on the computer in fear that I mess up my progress. I like being on a proper schedule. I also have been reading a lot more.
Well that's not the reason why I'm posting this, I randomly decided to take a few shots of my darling Yuya. I was reading 'The Long Walk' by Richard Bachman (Stephen King) and just *zing* wanted to take some pictures of Yuya. I really want to take him into a different environment for pictures as well. So perhaps I will dress him up and taking him outside tomorrow for a mini shoot ^o^ The weather has been getting really nice here lately. Lovely and warm, if a tad windy. Nice picture taking weather.
However, while editing my pictures there wasn't a lot that I liked. A grand total of three! Hence why I want to get out there and take better pictures. Also. Happy March! Hard to believe we're already in our third month of the new year. I will be heading home on the 13th of May from the lovely Nebraska and thus I will be taking an overnight flight back home and will land on the 14th! I'm too excited for going home, as much as I love being in America. I can't wait to take all my memories and souvenirs back with me!
I’ve also made the decision that I will apply to teach English in S. Korea when I graduate. I think it’ll be better for me to go there instead of Japan. I still want to apply for Japan - keep my options open - but we’ll see~ Okay, enjoy the pictures of Yuya, I’ve rambled too much. He’s wearing a cute dino shirt he got which he adores since he’s obsessed with Dinosaurs. I need to get that boy more dinosaurs...

Celebrate Good Times! [42 Pictures]
So I skipped an update or two, but I have a good reason. I've been really busy with school work before the holiday and then of course, the holiday itsself. I'm talking about Thanksgiving of course! I'll be the first the admit, not being American, I felt kinda weird celebrating their holiday with them. However, they were welcoming and I'm especially grateful to my I-PAL and his family - they allowed me into their home on this special day. Something that astounded me was the importance put on the night of Thanksgiving and the next day - Black Friday. Well, Americans seem to like a good bargin! I didn't take part in this bit of the holiday.
I didn't get any pictures of the time spent with the Munger family, but I did take over 140 pictures on the day me and Kimiko spent in Lincoln together. There were a few things she wanted to do and I was more than happy to accompany her! We have a lot of fun even though it was a really cold and windy day. In the evening we went to a lovely Japanese restaurant and then we went to see J. Edgar Hoover at the pictures. This is a movie I would encourage you to see. It was simply wonderful and DiCaprio is an amazing actor.
Under the read more is a selection of pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Say No [BJD]
About time I had another BJD post right? Damn straight. I feel as though it's been far too long since the last time I took pictures of Ash. I still don't want to take him outside and take pictures, alone, since I don't know how other people will react to him. To the people I've exposed him to - thank you. You've been gracious in how you've um... handled it? I suppose that is a good way to put it. At least, if you didn't like him you've been nice about it. I can appreciate that it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I get that, trust me. But I do adore BJDs and I love showing them off.
In case this is your first time hearing about BJD and you've no idea what it is, have a google definititon.
Isn't it glorious? I'd like to think so haha. So messy though... ah.

A ball-jointed doll is any doll that is articulated with ball and socket joints. In contemporary usage when referring to modern dolls, and particularly when using the acronyms BJD or ABJD, it usually refers to modern Asian ball-jointed dolls.[1] These are cast in polyurethane synthetic resin, a hard, dense plastic, and the parts strung together with a thick elastic. They are predominantly produced in Japan, South Korea and China.Actually, that's from wikipedia. But you get the idea right? Well under the read more are going to be some pictures of Ash but here, enjoy a picture of my new study area. By new I mean, I stuck up ALL THE THINGS!

In which I'm Legal! [LIFE!] [IMG HEAVY]
Yes! You heard right! I'm now 21 and therefore can do all the crazy things many american freshman dream of doing... but I can do cause I'm old and not a freshman - ha! My birthday was amazing. I can't even express how awesome and crazy and beautiful and amazing and everything else it was. People here are amazing and lovely and aaah! I'm just so overwhelmed with happiness and I can't believe how awesome it all was. Tonight I'm heading to a Nerd themed frat party so that should be INSANE but for now I have a few pictures of what my room looked like. Yes, I kept mentioning this on twitter and facebook and finally I have pictures.
All pictures are taken from the morning after since there were so many people in my room and I didn't get a chance to whip out the camera and snap pictures of everything. I'll try and swipe from others on Facebook and share them on my wall there.

Share~ [LIFE] [IMG HEAVY]
I know I should use my Nebraska blog for this, but I'm lazy and well. I think I will integrate everything here. You all won't mind for a few months (or more) will you? No? Yes? Who cares really, it's my blog so I'll put what I like here. I suppose it's nice to give your blog some direction but yuh. This post will have a lot of images from the day after the read more so beware and enjoy!

I should blog more... [MISC/BJD]
I haven't been blogging all that much and honestly, there isn't a lot for me to talk about that hasn't be posted in various other places. I'm always on Twitter or Facebook (being more active on Facebook as a lot of internationals are on there). I haven't had a chance to take pictures of Ash and I'm a little wary about taking him outside. Omaha is too far away to make regular meets there but I should still try and integrate with the doll community there - after all, I'm living in Nebraska for a while!
Ah Nebraska, I was supposed to keep a blog on that as well but... nothing significant ever happens for me to blog about it. I'm just a normal girl going to class everyday. I'm studying Feminism Theories, East Asian History, Japanese language and then Japanese Culture too. I actually have a quiz to study for E.Asian History but oh look, I'm on here blogging instead. There was a poster sake today as well so I bought a Japan one (same as I have at home!) and a doctor who one.
I've actually got some stuff arriving in the post. I finally ordered from Threadless. Oh wait, I need to insert a read more here...

Eight! [LIFE!]
Eight is a pretty important number right now. I leave for Nebraska in eight days. Eight day is on Monday. Kanjani8! Um. Yeah, okay it's not that important and that is pretty much everything I can think of related to that number. Aside from the fact it is a lucky number for me. But wait! What? Eight days until you leave for Nebraska? I can hear you say. Yup! A big ole fat eight! Scary close right! I've never travelled so far by myself before, it's enough to induce several panic attacks. Haven't packed yet and I have so much left to sort out before I fly away for good (or until May next year...).
Saturday was my last day at work and it was kinda sad to leave. I didn't shed any tears and I didn't feel an overwhelming amount of sadness but at the same time, it had to be sad... right? I've worked there for so long and I really felt part of the 'family'. More about the future and some pictures and other random updates beyond the read more!

It's My Soul! [JPOP/MISC]
After complaining about not blogging on twitter and then reading Claudia's post, I realised that some of us don't update a lot during the summer. Even looking at my archives, I blogged more during May than any other time. Maybe because I just used it as a coping mechanism (I prefer that term than procrastination~). Regardless, this has turned into a blog where I talk less about myself and more about things I buy. This shows two things about me, I hate talking about myself and I think the stuff I buy says more about me than I could myself. Wow. Mouthful.
