The Bride and the Father [Jdrama]

The postman was nice to me today and my Jdrama DVDs were delivered! Finally I can finish Hanayome to Papa! I actually have a copy of the drama dvds already but unfortunately the second disk doesn't work so I'm not able to watch it. Of course this is disappointing and its taken me a long time to get around to replacing them. Unfortunately (I know...) with this copy, the casing seems to have broken in transit and so I might stick the dvds from this copy into the other cover... Okay... More under the cut haha.

This drama stars one of my favourite actors and one of my favourite actresses. Taguchi Junnosuke plays the lead male role in this drama (well, the love interest at least. I suppose you would say the father was the lead male role...) and Ishihara Satomi plays the lead female. It is from this drama that I also get one of my favourite male Japanese names - Seiji! Merry had first introduced me to the name a long time ago through Roleplaying and before I knew anything about dorama.

I've included the drama wiki synopsis:
Ishihara plays a new 20-year-old OL working in the apparel company of her dreams. Her father, played by Tokito, loves his daughter excessively to the point that he compels her to follow his house rules: 7:00pm curfew, no socialising with the opposite sex. Nevertheless, she falls in love with her colleague, played by Taguchi, and begins a mission to "graduate" from her father..
The one on the right is the new copy I bought. The cover seems very yellow.

Inside the cover. The drama title and pictures of the cast members are shown. That dog is adorable.

This is one of my favourite dramas! Even though I have yet to finish it! I absolutely adore Junnosuke's acting in this and the relationship between Seiji (Junnosuke's character) and Kentaro (The father, played by Tokito Saburo) is hilarious! Very comedic! I'd recommend it to anyone who is interested in watching Japanese Drama but isn't sure where to start.

花嫁とパパ  is a Family Romance Comedy and is twelve episodes long like most other Japanese Dramas. Typically, Korean dramas run longer. The seller I bought these from (on Ebay) was also nice enough to include money off coupons! I'll be heading to the japan drama website and using these haha. If you're interested to know which sellers on ebay I use for buying drama from don't hesitate to ask.

My very small and fail Japanese/Korean tv drama collection. Includes: Hana Yori Dango 1-2 & Final, Absolute Boyfriend, Yukan Club, Hanayome to Papa (x2), Dr. Koto Shinryojo 2006, Coffee Prince & You're Beautiful.
